ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
Situated at an average elevation of 578 meters above sealevel, The Leparada district with its headquater at Basar is one of the 26 district of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeastern India. The district was created by bifurcating the Lower Siang District in the year 2018 making it the 25th district of Arunachal Pradesh. The district is centrally located, hence the name LepaRada (Lepa means Centre and Rada means Bulls eye in local dialect). It has 4 administrative circles namely Basar, Dari, Tirbin and Sago. Surrounded by lush green gradual hills and paddy fields it is home to galo tribe, a major tribe of Arunachal Pradesh.
Erstwhile, the Fast track court was established at basar (then was the part of West Siang district). The Fast track court was later upgraded to Additional District & Sessions Court in the year 2012, with Smty. Jaweplu Chai as the First Hon'ble Additional District & Sessions Judge,Basar.
